The Bush Camp is a real mobile tented camp, which travels with guests during their safari to their next destination. Our camp has a unique character and tents with open sided verandahs are furnished with all essential amenities. The private safari bathroom is en-suite with running water and “safari” shower.
The Bush Camp offers a unique approach by keeping things simple and practical, yet in a style and keeping with the traditional golden era of explorer’s safari camps.

Our Safari Guide : Camilla Frasca Caccia
Born and raised in Italy, Camilla has been in Kenya from 1999, driven there by her passion for adventure, wildlife & conservation.
Having spent most of her time in safari with guests exploring Kenya’s rich natural history and biodiversity, and being accredited with advanced safari qualifications in Africa, Camilla became a highly-experienced safari guide. In 2004 she started her own safari company, Bush Company, specialized in outfit and operating tailor made safaris away from the crowds, in the best camps and lodges that Kenya has to offer.
Having made the safari her job and the bush her office, in 2018 a life-long dream came to life when she finally set up her mobile tented camp: The Bush Camp.
Passionate and perfectionist she makes the experience all the more unique and personal. Running Bush Company and at the same time guiding the actual safari she organizes and looks after every detail of the trip be it a “classic safari” or a mobile safari with her camp.
Her wide safari experience across Kenya enables her to design special and memorable safaris.
She is confident, knowledgeable and always focuses on her client’s needs. Getting to know them and understanding their expectations she carefully plan, outfit and actually personally guides amazing safari adventures throughout Kenya, taking her guests to some of Kenya’s best lodges and safari camps or into bespoke safaris with her own mobile tented camp The Bush Camp.
In over 20 years in Kenya, Camilla has guided over 900 guests on more than 300 safaris, sharing with them amazing adventures.
Having spent so many years guiding safaris mostly in the greater Tsavo ecosystem , she is the best option for the discerning guest who is looking for an informative and memorable safari.
She is fond of sharing her knowledge in identifying a wide range of birds, mammals, reptiles, insects and plant species, topography and physical features, behaviors and natural history, as well as conservation issues, not to mention the historical and cultural background of the communities and their customs.
She likes to host guests, answer questions, entertain and cater for every whim of her guests immersing them into her bush world and making everyone feel at home on safari.
Our boutique B&B in Malindi
In addition to running Bush Company and The Bush Camp mobile safaris, Camilla owns and manages Swahili House, a boutique B&B in Malindi.
